Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Hotpoint Refrigerator.
Install Properly
Ensure the appliance is installed on a level and rigid floor. If the floor is not perfectly horizontal, adjust the refrigerator by tightening or loosening the front feet. Avoid direct sunlight and do not place it near heat sources.
Optimize Energy Use
Try to avoid keeping the door open for long periods or opening the door too frequently to conserve energy. Do not fill the appliance with too much food: cold air must circulate freely for food to be preserved properly.
Ensure Proper Electrical Connection
After transporting the appliance, place it vertically and wait at least 3 hours before connecting to the electricity mains. Ensure the appliance is earthed and the plug is compliant with the law.
Regular Cleaning
Clean external and internal parts, as well as the rubber seals, using a sponge soaked in lukewarm water and bicarbonate of soda or neutral soap. Ensure the appliance is switched off and unplugged before cleaning.
Avoid Overloading
Do not load the appliance with too much food. Ensure cold air can circulate freely. Avoid storing liquids in open containers to prevent increased humidity and condensation.
